Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, 18 Pro Global Variants Tipped on Geekbench

The global versions of Xiaomi's upcoming Pro flagship phones, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and Xiaomi 18 Pro, have appeared on Geekbench AI. This marks the first international testing signs for these devices, as reported by Gizchina.com.

This is good news for Indian smartphone enthusiasts. Last year, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max remained exclusive to China, with only the standard Xiaomi 17 seeing an international release. With the new generation, Xiaomi appears ready to bring its top-tier Pro models to global markets, a move the company has already confirmed.

What the Geekbench Listings Reveal

The Geekbench AI database shows the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max with model number 2611FPNFAG, while the standard Xiaomi 18 Pro carries the number 2609BPN61G. Both listings indicate the phones will run on Android 17 and feature around 12GB of RAM.

The listings identify Qualcomm's ARMv8 platform, though the commercial name of the processor is not directly confirmed. However, current reports suggest the Xiaomi 18 Pro could use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while the Pro Max might get the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Both chips are expected to feature a similar eight-core CPU layout, with graphics performance being the primary differentiator.

Early AI Performance Glimpse

The Geekbench AI results offer an early look at how these two phones handle artificial intelligence tasks. The Xiaomi 18 Pro scored 2,565 in single-precision testing, 3,236 in half precision, and 4,667 in quantized testing.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, on the other hand, posted scores of 2,256, 3,556, and 5,092 in the same tests. Interestingly, the standard model performed better in one test, while the Pro Max led in the other two. It's important to remember these are AI benchmark scores and do not reflect overall CPU or gaming performance in everyday use.

Why This Matters for Indian Buyers

A global launch for the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is a significant development. It means Indian buyers could potentially access Xiaomi's most powerful and feature-rich hardware without the hassle or risk of importing a Chinese-exclusive model. This could position Xiaomi with a stronger flagship offering in the competitive Indian market.

However, the Geekbench listings do not confirm a global launch date or whether every hardware detail will precisely match the Chinese versions. We will need to wait for Xiaomi's official announcement for full details on pricing, availability, and final specifications for the Indian market.
