Redmi K100 Gets 3C Certification, Tipped for Over 10,000mAh Battery

The standard edition of the Redmi K100 has received 3C certification, signaling its upcoming launch. This certification, spotted on October 12 under model number M786BC, confirms that the device will support 100W fast charging.

While 100W fast charging is certainly impressive, what's really got people talking is the battery. Rumours are circulating that this phone could feature a battery larger than 10,000mAh. According to Wazzuptechph, who cited Digital Chat Station on Weibo, if this rumour holds true, it would make the Redmi K100's battery the largest ever seen in a Mi series phone. For Indian users, this could translate into seriously long battery life between charges, a major draw for those who prioritize endurance.

To put that into perspective, most flagship phones in India currently offer batteries in the 4,500-5,000mAh range. Even many mid-range devices top out at around 6,000-7,000mAh. A 10,000mAh+ battery would be an outlier, catering to users who need their phone to last multiple days on a single charge or heavy users who don't want to constantly look for an outlet.

Beyond the battery, the Redmi K100 is also rumoured to feature a high refresh rate flat display, which typically means smoother scrolling and a more fluid viewing experience. Solid all-around performance is also anticipated, though specific details on the chipset or other internal hardware are not yet confirmed.

This standard Redmi K100 follows the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which launched in China on August 11, 2026. While those models are premium offerings, the standard K100 appears poised to bring some compelling features, especially if the massive battery rumour proves accurate. The 100W fast charging, already confirmed by the 3C listing, means that even with a huge battery, topping it up shouldn't take an excessively long time.

As of now, Redmi has not officially revealed any details about the K100's specifications or its potential launch in India. However, certification listings like this usually indicate that a launch is weeks away. Indian buyers looking for a smartphone with unparalleled battery life might want to keep an eye on official announcements from Redmi.
