Infinix GT 50 Pro India Launch Set for October 27: Specs and Cooling System Detailed

Infinix is bringing its GT 50 Pro gaming smartphone to India on October 27, according to a report by UdaipurTimes.com. The device, which previously launched in select international markets in April, will be available exclusively through Flipkart for Indian buyers.

Dimensity 8400 Ultimate Powering the Gaming Experience

The Infinix GT 50 Pro is confirmed to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor. This chipset will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, a combination designed to handle demanding games and ensure smooth multitasking. Infinix claims the phone can deliver up to 144 FPS in supported titles like Free Fire Max and Call of Duty: Mobile, though actual performance depends on game compatibility and optimisation.

Display Features for Competitive Gaming

For visuals, the GT 50 Pro includes a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. This high refresh rate should make in-game visuals appear smoother, which can be a real advantage in fast-paced action. The display also boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, which is impressive on paper. Furthermore, it offers a maximum touch reporting rate of 2,800Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 330Hz in game mode, aiming for quicker response times to user input.

Advanced Cooling and Built-in Triggers

Keeping the phone cool during intense gaming sessions is crucial, and Infinix is addressing this with its Hydroflow liquid cooling system. This system reportedly includes a 7,700-square-millimetre 3D vapour chamber, a micro-pump, and two piezoelectric ceramic plates. The cooling channels will be visible on the phone's back, a design choice Infinix calls an 'explicit viewport'.

Beyond internal cooling, the GT 50 Pro will ship with the Infinix GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0, an external magnetic cooling accessory, included in the retail box. This accessory also supports 30W wireless bypass charging, which is a thoughtful addition for serious gamers.

For better control, the phone features pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers. These triggers offer four input modes (light press, hard press, left swipe, right swipe) and support 10 pressure levels. This level of customisation can be very useful for mapping controls in action and shooting games.

Big Battery and Charging Options

A large 6,500mAh battery will power the Infinix GT 50 Pro, offering ample juice for extended play. When it's time to recharge, the phone supports 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, providing flexibility for users. The inclusion of wireless charging on a gaming-focused device is a nice bonus.

What We Still Don't Know: The India Price

While Infinix has detailed many of the GT 50 Pro's key features, its price in India remains unconfirmed. This is the biggest piece of the puzzle still missing, as the pricing will heavily influence its position against other gaming smartphones in the Indian market. The phone will launch in Black Abyss and Red Blaze colour options. We'll have to wait for the official launch event on October 27 for full pricing and sales details.
