Infinix is launching its GT 50 Pro gaming smartphone in India on October 27 via Flipkart. The company has confirmed key specifications, including a 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display and Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset.
Infinix is expanding its gaming smartphone range in India with the launch of the Infinix GT 50 Pro on October 27. The new handset is set to succeed the Infinix GT 30 Pro, bringing several upgrades aimed at mobile gamers, according to NewsBricks.
The company has revealed several hardware specifications ahead of the official unveiling. The Infinix GT 50 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 144Hz. This screen is rated for a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, which sounds impressive on paper for visibility, even in bright conditions.
For gamers, touch response is crucial. The display specifications include a reported touch reporting rate of up to 2,800Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 330Hz when in game mode. These numbers suggest the phone is designed for very responsive controls during fast-paced games.
Under the hood, the GT 50 Pro will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset. It will pair this with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. This combination should deliver faster memory and data access, which is essential for demanding applications and quick game loading times.
Infinix claims the GT 50 Pro will support gaming at up to 144 frames per second in compatible titles like Free Fire MAX and Call of Duty: Mobile. Of course, actual frame rates can always vary based on specific game optimisations and settings, but the potential is there.
Advanced Cooling for Extended Gaming
A major highlight for the Infinix GT 50 Pro is its cooling system. The phone will incorporate Infinix's HydroFlow liquid cooling system. This setup includes a 7,700 sq mm 3D vapour chamber, a micro-pump, dual piezoelectric ceramic plates, and a liquid circulation rate of up to 6.5ml per minute. This kind of advanced cooling is crucial for maintaining stable performance during long gaming sessions without thermal throttling.
Infinix has also given the GT 50 Pro a distinctive rear design, featuring visible cooling channels through the back panel. This design choice highlights the phone's gaming focus and sets it apart visually from conventional smartphones.
Big Battery, Wireless Charging, and an Included Accessory
The GT 50 Pro is expected to pack a substantial 6,500mAh battery. It will support 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. A large battery paired with wireless charging options could be a big draw for users who spend extended periods playing mobile games and want convenience.
Interestingly, the handset will also support the Infinix G MagCharge Cooler 2.0, an external magnetic cooling accessory. Infinix has confirmed this magnetic cooler will be included in the Indian retail package. This accessory supports 30W wireless bypass charging, meaning users can charge the phone while also using the cooling attachment. Bundling such an accessory adds real value for serious mobile gamers in India.
Camera Setup and Availability Details
Beyond its gaming prowess, the Infinix GT 50 Pro is expected to feature a dual rear camera system. This comprises a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary camera. For selfies and video calls, there will be a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Full camera specifications, including the function of the secondary sensor, are yet to be disclosed by Infinix.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro will be available for purchase in India through Flipkart after its October 27 launch. It will be offered in Black Abyss and Red Blaze shades initially, though a wider product range is expected to include three colour options. Complete colour lineup and configuration details are still unconfirmed.
As the successor to the GT 30 Pro, this new model brings significant upgrades in display, chipset, and cooling. Its final positioning in India's competitive gaming smartphone market will heavily depend on the official pricing, which Infinix is expected to reveal during the launch event itself.
