Apple HomeView, Apple TV 4K Pre-Orders Delayed in US, India Status Unclear

Apple's new HomeView smart home hub is experiencing pre-order delays in the US, pushing estimated delivery dates for some colour options into early December. This is according to a report by MacRumors, which notes that the earliest US orders for the tabletop HomeView were initially set for delivery on Friday, November 13.

If you're in the US and haven't placed a pre-order yet, you might face a longer wait. MacRumors indicates that US delivery estimates for the tabletop HomeView vary significantly by ZIP code. For example, the silver model shows a November 23-December 1 delivery window in New York, but some other locations are seeing a later November 30-December 7 range. Interestingly, certain colours and US locations still offer Friday, November 13 delivery for the tabletop HomeView. The wall-mounted HomeView variant, however, isn't currently facing any delays in the US.

The delivery estimate shifts aren't exclusive to HomeView. Apple TV 4K pre-orders in the US are also showing similar timelines. Customers might see delivery estimates between November 23-December 1 in some parts of the US, and November 30-December 7 in others.

For Indian consumers, it's important to note that specific details regarding the India launch and pricing of the Apple HomeView and the new Apple TV 4K are completely unknown at this time. While US pre-order trends can sometimes offer hints about global supply, there's no official announcement or credible leak about when these products might arrive here, or how much they will cost when they do.

In brighter news for US customers, if you're eyeing the HomePod mini 2, it appears to be widely available for its launch day delivery on Friday, October 30, across all five colour options throughout the US. Apple has also clarified that Siri AI support for the HomePod mini 2 will be enabled via a future software update, meaning it won't be available right out of the box. Again, India launch details for the HomePod mini 2 are yet to be confirmed.

For now, Indian buyers interested in these new Apple devices will need to wait for official communication from Apple regarding their availability and pricing in the country.
