XElectron has launched a new 15.6-inch Full HD smart photo frame in India, offering a significantly larger display than typical models. It features remote photo sharing via an app and is available at a special festive price.
XElectron has launched a new large-format digital photo frame in the Indian market, as reported by Gizmochina. The XElectron Large Digital Photo Frame stands out with its substantial 15.6-inch display, offering a much bigger viewing area compared to the smaller 8-inch or 10-inch frames often seen here.
This frame packs a Full HD IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. XElectron designed it to blend into home or office settings, giving it wooden-look bezels. This design choice aims to make it look like a traditional picture frame, rather than just a tablet or a small monitor.
Connectivity is handled via Wi-Fi, and the frame integrates with the third-party Frameo app, available on both iOS and Android. This allows users to send photos and short videos directly to the frame from their smartphones, no matter where they are. This remote sharing feature is genuinely practical for Indian families, letting you update photos on a relative's frame without needing to be physically present. Setting up the device and managing slideshows is done through the touchscreen itself.
For storing memories, the XElectron frame includes 32GB of internal memory. The company says this is enough space for tens of thousands of compressed images. While the app-based wireless transfer is the main way to get media onto it, the frame also supports local management. It comes with an SD card slot, plus both USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports for added flexibility.
The 15.6-inch digital photo frame is now available for purchase on Amazon India and XElectron's official website. It's currently selling at a special festive promotional price of ₹10,990. The regular price for the device is listed at ₹11,990. Considering its larger screen size compared to most smart frames in India, the festive offer makes it a bit more attractive.
If you're looking for a significantly larger smart photo frame that can be updated remotely, the XElectron Large Digital Photo Frame could be worth considering, especially at its current promotional price.
